We halfway celebrated Broden's Birthday three times. On his actual birthday, I was in Minneapolis (I'm thinking that I will probably get a mother of the year award here soon.) Brandon, Grandma, Grandpa, Ryan and his kids had a little celebration on the actual day of his birth.
When we went skiing in Canada, we had another celebration. It consisted primarily of singing and cake. If you are wondering about the shirtless nature of this picture, we had just finished relaxing in the hot tub. Brandon figured Broden would make a mess anyway. He'll probably be mad that I posted these pictures.
This week Broden opened his presents. He received a bunch of clothes and books. It was kind of an impromptu party. We were just about to open some gifts when the Frogley's came by for dinner with a gift. Perfect timing.
My parents weren't big birthday party people so I may have inherited an inability to properly plan and execute a birthday. It will be interesting to see what form our birthday celebrations take in the future. What I do know is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Broden. I am so thankful to be his mom. This has been the best year ever! I am looking forward to every moment with him and every stage that he goes through!
