My sister-in-law, Melissa, got married October 9th in the San Diego temple. Melissa met Callen at an Institute class in May. We immediately liked Callen better than anyone Melissa had ever brought around. Although the engagement came quickly, we knew Callen was a high quality individual. Callen purposed in July. Melissa received her endowment the day before she was married in the Newport Beach temple. That night we all drove down to San Diego, had dinner at PF Chang's and stayed the night at a hotel. Melissa's sealing was performed by President Harris. He was the stake president while my father-in-law was a bishop. He also sealed Brandon and I. It was really nice to listen to his counsel again. I'm sure he covered the same things with us when we were sealed but I don't remember much from the day I was married. It was too much of a whirlwind. Melissa looked beautiful and they both looked very happy. After taking some photos we headed to lunch. Then we drove back up to Brea to finish setting up for the reception. The reception was held at the church down the street from the Pyper's house. It has an enclosed open air area where everything was set up. It all turned out lovely but boy was it a long day. My niece, Ashton, had me dancing all night long. We were mostly the only ones dancing. The happy couple went on a cruise for their honeymoon. We are very excited for Melissa and Callen. We wish them years of love and joy!
I live in a ghetto apartment with 5 cats and 2 dogs....just kidding. Only about the animal part...I've been married for a little over a year, and we live in california...life is good.
