The Holidays

I'm going to be honest, the holidays were pretty difficult for both Brandon and I this year. It was our first Christmas in our new home. Both of us were so busy that we never decorated. Brandon was working for Costco for the holidays. I worked around 100 hours for both December and January (normally I work around 80 hours.) It just didn't feel like the holidays. I had a trip the 23rd-27th. Lauren Marks, a Skywest flight attendant, had my crew and another crew over for dinner on Christmas Eve in Imperial, CA. Brandon was able to fly to his dad's house for Christmas day. I think it was hard for him because none of his siblings were around. It was just such a stark contrast from last year when everyone was together. I know it won't always be like this. The good news is that I was able to get New Years Eve and day off. I was suppose to work but crew scheduling needed me to do something earlier in the week so they negotiated with me. I was so grateful to have New Years off because my parents and Corbin were in town.
