I was shocked when I learned that my worked actually gave me June 3rd off so I could attend my cousin's wedding. I decided to go up Wednesday evening. I have some dear friends that live in Park City, Pennie and Sara. When I was still in school at BYU I worked at Deer Valley in Park City. I met Pennie there and became instant friends. I started staying every weekend with them. Sara is Pennie's daughter who is right around my age. We always had so much fun together. I haven't seen them for several years and really haven't been in touch since I was married. Pennie came and picked me up from the airport. We talked nonstop. Then Sara met up with us at the house. We talked for hours. We went to bed around 11:30pm. I even got to meet Sara's baby Hudson. He was adopted from Alabama and is beautiful.
I'm so grateful for good friends. It means so much to be able to pick right up where you left off no matter how much time has gone by. I love Pennie and Sara. I feel blessed to call them my friends!
On a side note, I sat by a fascinating man on the flight from Boise to Salt Lake City. He is the head sales person for a dietary and health supplement manufacturing company based in Montana. I learned so much about the business. I told him that it is hard to decide which products are good/legit and which are bogus. He validated that my concerns are in fact legitimate. He gave me his email address in case I ever want to run products by him. I thought that was pretty cool.
Also both Pennie and Sara told me separately that they think I look like Amanda Seyfried. How funny! A girl on the flight to Salt Lake asked me if I have a relative in Virginia because I look exactly like a girl she knows. Funny!
