The Week

I've been in Southern California for a week. Just made it back home last night. It wasn't a terribly interesting week. Here are a few highlights:

  • Had my annual FAA physical. I generally don't worry about this exam because I'm in really great health. But I get totally stressed about the eye portion of the exam. I had my eye doctor fill out a form so that I wouldn't have to do the eye portion of the test. That backfired because the form was incomplete and stated that my vision was less than it was suppose to be. I was totally freaked out. Luckily the person that was suppose to do my eye exam was stuck on a conference call (I waited around forever) so the doctor kind of guesstimated the ones that my eye doctor had left blank.
  • I spent my reserve days down at my brother-in-law's office making an insane amount of phone calls. These were people that had been to a seminar he put on. His office had sent out some info about a new property. I was calling to see if anyone wanted to come into the office for a lunch or dinner to ask questions about the property. All this phone calling brought me back to my days telemarketing in Provo.
  • Studied a little bit (not enough) for my simulator training coming up at the beginning of July.
  • Had a two day trip with an overnight in Inyokern again.
  • Had some teenage boys ask me about restaurants in the airport. I think the one doing all the talking was given a dare.
  • Had a lady in the bathroom at LAX try to steal my stall. As we both went for the stall she explained that she thought I was a security guard.
  • Tried desperately to make it to sacrament meeting at a random church building by LAX. I ran in the front door to see that they had already started passing the bread. My hustle did not pay off.
  • Watched the dance numbers on SYTYCD 3 times.
  • Pat and Mindy came to Dennis's house Sunday with the 3 girls.

I'm grateful to be home and have a few days off. We had to our family reunion in Park City, UT tomorrow. I'm so excited.
