Earl Family Reunion

We had our Tom Earl family reunion at the cabin in Sandpoint, ID this year July 21-24th. Originally we were going to just all meet up in Boise. I think my dad was trying to be accommodating since every one's work life has been in such great flux. When it came down to it we knew that it wouldn't end up being much of a reunion in Boise because people's lives would draw them in different directions.

I worked a four day trip and then flew to Pasco on Wednesday night. I started work at 4am and didn't get to bed in Moses Lake until 1:30am. That actually threw me for a loop the first few days of the reunion. I was so tired. We headed to the cabin Thursday morning from Moses Lake and picked Brandon up from the airport in Spokane on the way. We had to detour to a Lowe's because my parent's needed Brandon's expertise in tarps and tie downs for the truck.

The weather was a little chili and it didn't really feel like summer but I kind of liked it like that. We mostly hung around, ate good food, and talked. The kids had a blast playing outside. The guys spent a lot of time throwing hatchets. We also met up with the Muirheads, our family friends from Canada. We checked out the place they were staying at Friday evening. Then we met them at the lake on Saturday. Kent and Liz brought their boat so the kids thought they had died and gone to heaven. It was warmer than previous days but I was still dressed in jeans and a jacket...no water skiing for me.

I had to go back to work Sunday so I didn't see my house for a couple weeks. We had a great time at the reunion and I'm glad we were all able to make it a priority to get there and spend some time together. I had to steal pictures from Myca because I didn't take one picture. I'm THE WORST!
