Guests

Brandon and I love having guests. It is a little difficult with our schedules to actually be around to have guests. We were blessed this week to have one of Brandon's best friends from high school, Adolfo Wurts, come to town. We were also excited to have my sister-in-law, Kelsie, and my cousin, Allie, and her baby, Nora, stay for one night.

Brandon knew that Adolfo was coming to town so he had me request a day off from work so I could be home too. Wednesday morning Myca and I went on a walk with the kids. The weather in Boise was beautiful. Adolfo and his friend, Mike Jones, arrived just as Myca and I were leaving to go for a walk. When we got back all the guys were ready to go to breakfast. We went to Black Bear Diner and ate way too much food. Adolfo and Mike had some work to do so they went to Mike's office downtown. Brandon and I worked in the yard the rest of the day. That night the four of us went to Brick 29 for dinner. Brick 29 is one of our new favorite restaurants and it did not disappoint once again. I was actually still full from breakfast so I couldn't really enjoy dinner like I wanted to. Adolfo stayed the night.

Thursday we were suppose to go hiking but we didn't get an early enough start. I had a dentist appointment late morning. It was long overdue but I was pleased to receive a clean bill of health. Thursday also included meal planning, grocery shopping, and yard work.

Friday we had family pictures. I'm grateful to have a sister that's willing to take them. It would be very difficult to try and work our schedule out with anyone else. Friday evening Kelsie and Allie arrived. It was so fun talking and hanging out with them. Brandon and I went to Ford dealership as well. He is kind of fascinated with the Eco Boost engines. We started the movie Lincoln with Kelsie and Allie but we were all tired and it is kind of a heavy movie. None of us made it through the whole movie.

My dad rolled in on Saturday. Brandon had to work but my parents, Broden and I went to lunch. We spent a little time in the yard. Myca came by to visit for a bit. I had to get my stuff ready for work. It was mostly an errands and preparation kind of day.

We had so much fun with Adolfo, Mike, Kelsie and Allie. I was so grateful to have a stretch of days at home since I had 5 days of reserve to follow.
