New Year's Resolutions

I finally made my New Year's Resolutions. Maybe I should call it my New February Resolutions. I just didn't have time to think about them until after my ground school and simulator training were done.

I generally try to think of goals for many different categories including: spiritual, physical, financial, mental or emotional, social, etc. Unfortunately it feels like my goals each year are very reminiscent of years past. I have a few new ones this year but some are very similar from last year.

I won't bore you with all of them but here are a few. For my physical goals I feel like I am already conscience of working out and eating right so I wanted to think outside the box. I decided that I would try to take vitamins and fish oil every day. I also have a goal to get on a decent skin care regimen. I'm told that at my age I really should be using some kind of under eye cream. I get totally overwhelmed when I try to research what products I should use. If anyone has something that you swear by let me know. One of my goals is to cook at least 2 nights a week. I would like to volunteer in the community once a month. For several years I have wanted to learn the guitar and learn to speak Spanish. I have been practicing my guitar but I have yet to find a Spanish program that doesn't cost a lot of money. I definitely learn better when I have a teacher but that usually requires a consistent schedule and money. Then of course there are the spiritual goals of reading scriptures everyday and praying twice daily. I actually have been pretty consistent with this but I'm nervous that if I don't specifically make it a goal I'll let it slide so it's on the list again this year. For my financial goal I would like to pay an extra $200 a month toward my student loans.

Well I guess that's really all my individual goals. Nothing too interesting I'm afraid. I do think setting goals is important. I know I don't always follow through but at least I'm trying to work toward something.
