Last weekend I worked a four day trip. Brandon went to Boise. Dennis was in AZ because my sister-in-law Natalie had her baby.
I had to get up at 3:30 on Saturday morning to go to work. It was raining so hard outside that traffic was at a stand still at 4:30 in the morning. My car hydroplaned a number of times. I couldn't slow down too much because I was late to work due to the stopped traffic. I saw a couple different cars that looked like they had gone off the side of the freeway. Crazy.
For the first time in a lot of years I had someone walk in on me with my pants down. I was using the lav on the airplane. My FO thought that the flight attendant had locked the door from the outside so she unlocked it and opened the door. I frantically tried to cover myself. My eyes met hers for a moment. Totally embarrassing. I also saw a ramper standing right next to her that probably saw the show.
My flight attendant arrived at the gym just as I was leaving in Santa Barbara our first night. The next morning she was telling the first officer to watch out for my "big guns". I thought that was funny. Is that a compliment or an insult? Every girl wants to be fit but no girl wants to look like a man.
I had my annual line check. A check airman rides a long on two legs of the flight. They are usually pretty painless. This guy was nonstop! He said he didn't like doing line checks and that he wasn't a company man but man did he mention any little flaw that he saw. It was exhausting.
I flew with two women that are really easy to work with (Christina and Kristina). That definitely makes thing more enjoyable but four days is too long to be away!
