Arizona

I called home first thing Friday morning to see how my parents were doing.  I had already decided that I was going to try and get a few days off to go see them in Washington.  My dad told me that they were heading to Arizona for the weekend.  I decided to meet up with them there.  I called worked to see if I could sit the 9 am to 9 pm reserve on Saturday instead of 5 to 5.  To my astonishment they agreed.  I caught a flight that arrived into Phoenix at 6:10pm.  My parents arrived at the airport about 20 minutes later.

Peggy and Parker Moffat picked us all up at the airport.  We drove strait to one of my parents favorite restaurants Gecko Grill.  We waited for nearly an hour for a table.  That gave us some time to talk.  Megan showed up with her new boyfriend Chris.  It was great to meet and get to know him.  Dinner was delicious.  We went back to Peg and Parkers and talked some more.  It was a really fun evening.  I was so grateful to be able to see my parents.  I was especially worried about my mom.  They both looked great.  My dad never ceases to amaze me.  What a positive and optimistic attitude he continued to have.  He was laughing and joking.  I don't know that I could have such a good attitude in a similar situation.  He is such a great example to me.  I felt so much better after being with them.

The next morning I had to be back home again by 9am.  I caught a flight no problem.
