After dropping Corbin off at the airport we went to church. Brandon had run home between Sacrament and Sunday school to get some medication (or to set up a surprise for me.) When I walked in the door after church I saw these three boxes stacked on top of each other. It was two Dell boxes and a Canon box. I was shocked.
I laid down for a little while because I have been getting some weird headaches this week. I couldn't rest for long because I had to head to the airport. I had my annual line check. That's right they scheduled my line check on my birthday...how nice. I flew to Oxnard and back. It was a quick trip and everything went smoothly. The check airmen that evaluated us was actually a really cool guy.
I made it home around 7:30 pm. Brandon had a surprise for me. Apparently he and several other family members went in on a gift for me. It was a Bosch mixer. I was so excited. Brandon and I had been talking about getting on for several months. It was on our list of big ticket items to save up for. Now I know that some of you will laugh that I would be so excited about this considering I don't know how to cook. That is the point though. I need a Bosch mixer to help me be the homemaker that I never knew I always wanted to be! Now hopefully my mom or someone with real skills will show me how to use it to make some delicious homemade bread. The other bonus to getting this mixer is that we are really trying to work on our food storage. I didn't want to buy a bunch of wheat and flour and have no idea what to do with it if we actually ever had to use it. I have such a thoughtful husband and family.
Everyone makes such a big deal about turning thirty. This was not a tough milestone for me at all. I feel great. I think I look pretty good. I am really happy. I guess it doesn't matter how old you are if you feel good and are happy.

Happy Birthday...I know I'm a little late. It sounds like you scored BIG time!! Good for you. I know you'll enjoy it all. :)
Happy Birthday! Wow! You got some amazing gifts! That's terrific.
A new computer...you aren't going to know what to do with yourself. I'm so jealous because I want a new computer so bad!
And a Bosch...very cool. I just know you'll be able to make yummy things very soon out of it. I make things out of my Kitchen Aid all the time and if I can do it, that means anyone can! Oh, and apparently a girl is not a "mormon housewife" if they don't have a Bosch---so I've been told anyways! :)
Happy Belated birthday!! That's awesome that you got some much needed things. I know how it is to want something and talk about it but not know when you are going to get it, but when you get it as a surprise it feels like a burden is lifted!! I hope your birthday was awesome!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I am so happy to see that you are getting spoiled for your special day. You completely deserve it and I am oozing with jealousy over your Bosch. Love you.
