The girls

I generally have two days off a week.  They are usually in the middle of the week sometime.  In January I started watching my two nieces on my days off.  One day a week their mom is in class.  She is an RN and is in a program that takes her from a two year degree to a masters.  The other day she works a 12 hour day.  Ashton is 6 months and Pyper will be two in April.  They are really sweet girls.  Pyper is a ball of energy and has recently started talking like crazy.  We usually stay at their house most of the time.  I have taken them on walks outside a lot but we usually don't venture out for errands.

Friday we bought something off this guy from craigslist.  Of course I get a phone call at around 11:40 and we are suppose to meet him at 12:20.  The girls weren't dressed for the day.  Ash had just woken up from a nap and I didn't have the money yet.  I was rushing around like a crazy woman.  It amazes me how much longer things take with a couple little kids.  Trying to carry Pyper in my arms (she wouldn't walk) and Ash in her car seat was very difficult and I am sure we looked ridiculous.  Of course we had to stop to get money and of course Pyper fell asleep.  There was no atm so I had to take the girls into the store with me.  This also takes a lot longer than one would think especially when you have to wake up a sleeping toddler.  We finally made it to our meeting spot.

This guy was little shady.  We were purchasing some workout videos.  They were "replicas" which I was fine with as long as they worked.  He showed me that they did.  We exchanged money and the dvd's.  Unfortunately I asked this guy some questions.  I think this guy is totally makes mass copies of these dvd's  and selling them.  Of course I learned this as we were leaving.  I feel bad now.  I will have to be more careful in the future.

All I can say is that it was a lot of work for a short outing.  I can see why some moms don't leave the house much.  I am so in awe of mothers.

You are crackin' me up, Lysh. See, this babysitting will be great. By the time you have two of your own, you'll be a pro! And I love that while you rarely venture out with the girls, when you do take the time to venture out, it is to get work out videos. Classic Alysha!
