The Ducks

Yesterday afternoon Brandon's Dad told Brandon that he had four tickets to the Ducks game if we wanted them. I guess someone Dennis works with has season tickets and they weren't able to use them. Brandon got in touch with a few of his friends that live up by his parents. Brian and Drew are both married but both of their wives had a young women meeting they couldn't miss. We met up with them at Mitch's shop (another buddy of Brandon that has a shop really close to the arena.) Then we went by and picked up the tickets.

I have never been to a professional hockey game before. It was a lot of fun. I couldn't follow everything that was going on but I got the gist of it. It actually reminds me a lot of soccer. The Ducks were playing a team from Vancouver. When we arrived we were ahead one to nothing. Then we scored again. They score twice in a row really quickly. We scored again but it was taken back for some reason (one of those things I couldn't follow.) Near the end of the third period Vancouver scored to tie it up. It was a really exciting game. The Ducks won at the very end of the overtime period. It was a defender that scored making it even more exciting.

Hockey is so physical. I can't believe how aggressive they are allowed to be. I also find it interesting how the girls scraping down the ice have to wear little half shirts...you could tell they were freezing the whole time.

There were some Vancouver fans sitting not far from us. I can't believe how many traveled this far to watch them play. Canadians really take their hockey seriously!

I had a lot of fun and hope that we can go again sometime.

So we went to a hockey game the other day. Alex couldn't believe that the reffs just let the guys duke it out! Crazy stuff. Sounds like you had fun though.
