Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a little weird this year. I was working and Brandon was at home. My mom was out of the country in Spain.

I couldn't help thinking about Mother's Day last year. Brandon and I spent the whole weekend with Kemy. We went to the fashion district in LA so Kemy could get some fabric. The three of us went to dinner. Kemy was telling a bunch of stories from when she was younger.

The year before that my parent's came down to CA shortly after Mother's Day. Brandon and I treated our moms to massages in Laguna Beach. My dad and I went and walked on the beach while they were pampered. They deserved it!

I love my mom! I am so grateful for everything that she does for me. I know I can always count on her. I pray I can be even in a small way like my mom when I have kids.

I'm also grateful that my husband had such a wonderful mom. I know that her influence greatly shaped the person that he is today. I'm thankful that I was able to know her. I'm blessed that we had a good relationship.

When I think about being a mom it is overwhelming. It is such an important role. I want desperately to be a good mom. There are so many of you that I look to as such strong and wonderful examples of motherhood. I'm so blessed to see so many amazing mom's in action.
