New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve I was called into work.  I was scheduled to fly one leg to Inyokern in the high desert and stay there for 24 hours then fly one leg back.  Luckily while we were taxiing out my first officer Kevin Ross asked if I was going to catch the flight back when we got to Inyokern.  I hadn't even thought of it.  What a brilliant idea.  We would fly back and then fly up the next morning.  That way we would be able to spend New Year's Eve at home.  So that is exactly what we did.  We had to call on the radio ahead of time to make sure there would be plenty of room for us on both flights and there was.

So New Year's Eve Brandon and I spent some time at his parent's.  Then we went to his friend Adolfo's house.  Adolfo had several friends over and we played a couple of rounds of Mafia.  We had a lot of fun.  We went back to his parent's house.  Pat, Mindy, and the girls were over there too.  Melissa and her roommate from school had gone to disneyland for the day.  We gave Dennis and Kemy there late Christmas presents and gave Dennis his birthday present (his birthday is on the 1st).  We gave them books:  How to Hug a Porcupine, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and The Five Love Languages.  When it was midnight we ran outside and made a lot of noise.  Melissa and Christina pulled up.  Brandon set off some fireworks.

I had to get up early the next morning to be to work.  They celebrated Dennis's birthday with a birthday dinner.  I can't remember what else we did...we either played games or watched a movie or both?  It was a fun New Year.
