Flew by

The weekend flew by. Friday night Brian and Becka Adams came down. We ordered pizza and watched the Ducks game on TV. Then we headed down to the hot tub. Pat and Mindy were out of town so we watched the game at their place and used the hot tub. There were a couple of guys down there that had had a few drinks and were pretty friendly. They were funny to talk with. My favorite story was about when they went down to the ghetto part of Baltimore (they went to college out there). A bunch of brothers surrounded their car and started pounding on it. Crazy.

Saturday we went to my in-laws house so that Brandon could help his dad with the yard. I had some stuff to do on the computer. Plus I had to have a mini intervention with my mother-in-law. She looked terrible. I made her get on the scale. She weighs 98lbs and is 5'5. More on that later. In the evening we met up with Andy and Jenny Demke. Brandon grew up with Andy. Andy and Jenny were dating when Brandon and I were. They moved down to San Diego county so we don't see them much. We went to Molca Salsa for bean and cheese burritos (one of Brandon and Andy's favorite dive Mexican food places.) Then we went to see the new X-Men origins Wolverine movie.

Sunday at church I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off. I was just trying to talk to as many people as possible about the Stake variety show. I passed out a sign up sheet in the YW and YM to have them do a performance for the show. Of course only one YM signed up. I spent a portion of the afternoon calling other YM. It did pay off though...I now have six YM for the show. That night we went back up to hang out with Andy and Jenny. We played one of their favorite card games...scum. Andy made some delicious cheesecake.

And then the weekend was over!
