One of my old mission companions decided to take a road trip back to Oregon. Jill Lewis is her name now. On the mission she was Sister Chappell. She lives in Mesquite, NV. She drove through Boise on her way to Oregon. I was in CA. When I found out that she would be driving home through Boise on a day that I would be around I was so excited. She did this road trip on her own with 2 kids. Brave woman! She arrived at our house around 5pm. I showed her our house and we just sat and talked. Then we went to the grocery store and headed to my sister's house. We made dinner and talked. Her kids played with Boston and Tayden. These are the occasions that I will always remember with fondness. It was so fun to get caught up.
I will forever be grateful for my mission. I met the most incredible people there. I really miss them. Jill was an amazing missionary and is an extraordinary woman. I feel so bless to know her and call her my friend. It made me really homesick for my mission and all the people that I love that I met there.
Jill, thank you so much for taking the time, energy, and effort to come spend time with me. I really appreciate it. I had so much fun seeing you and your kids.
