Moses Lake

Although it was short my visit to Moses Lake was indeed sweet. I arrived late Sunday night and had to leave Tuesday afternoon. The time in between was action packed. Jim and Cathy Muirhead, our family friends from Calgary, came to visit. Their son Nathan and his wife Daria along with their 5 kids were also in town. I haven't seen Nathan in a million years and I have never before this trip had the pleasure of meeting Daria.

Monday we went swimming at my Grandma's house. Tayden and I were in the pool forever. He loved the water but definitely wanted to hold on to someone. He had no interest in wearing a life vest. Myca and I did everything in our power to convince Boston to get in the pool. He ended up coming in the pool but he was kicking and screaming. He just doesn't like deep water. Did I mention that my Grandma made scones for lunch?! Delicious! Uncle Pat was there when we arrived. He never misses scones for lunch! Aunt Lori and some of their kids showed up later.

After a short reprieve from the sun at my mom's house we headed to the Taco Shop. My cousin, Angie, and her daughter, Q joined us at the Taco Shop and then we all went to the lake. I was impressed that Angie just drove right down to the lake on the sand at south end with total confidence. We watched some white trash people push their rig out. In fact, I think that perhaps we had to few of tattoos to hang there. My dad borrowed a jet ski. Mark and Anette Poth brought the boat out. I love them. I didn't have enough time with Anette. I absolutely love summers in Moses Lake. I really miss being out on the lake. I remember summers with so much fondness. I just think of being out on the boat with friends and family skiing, tubing, boarding, talking, and laughing. I hope someday I can duplicate that in my home. Kristen Honeycutt came by my parent's house that night. She brought little Parker too. Myca, Kristen, and I sat talking. My mom made hot fudge sundaes. What a great day!

Tuesday Myca and I went to the track at the high school. We brought the boys with us. Boston asked us after every lap if we could leave. Tayden scraped up his knees. I carried him around the track a number of times. We probably should have brought them a ball or something to distract them...next time. Later we met Kristen at the park. Her dad even came for a little bit. Then we did a walk through of my Aunt Lori's new house. It was amazing! My mom and Cathy drove me to the airport. We talked the whole way. Oh it was way to fast of a trip! Short is better than nothing though.
