Easter Weekend

Saturday was pretty crazy. Brandon and I headed up to Brea (where his parents live) to get Brandon's hair cut, run to a motorcycle shop to pick up his chain, to his parent's house to wash my car and print out our taxes.

Then we headed down to Pat and Mindy's house to celebrate Pyper's birthday. She turned two. They live in a condo that has a great pool and hot tube area. They had pizza and cake. The kids went swimming. It was funny because Pyper started crying when everyone sang happy birthday to her. She was not interested in blowing out the candle either. She kept asking for a fork (to eat the cake of course.)

After the birthday party we headed to the Harley shop. This time two of Brandon's buddies met up with us. Fred and Jordon are both looking for motorcycles so they wanted to check them out.

That night we went to Brian and Becka Adams' house. We actually colored Easter eggs. I can't remember the last time I did that. Then we sat around and chatted until after midnight.

Sacrament meeting on Easter Sunday was just the way I would plan it if I was in charge. They had two musical numbers followed by the choir singing several songs. It ended with one short talk and then the Bishop giving some closing thoughts about the Savior. I love it when special holidays are filled with music at church.

Holidays like Easter just aren't that interesting if you don't have kids. I guess maybe if I was more on the ball I could have made Brandon an Easter basket. We did have dinner with Brandon's parents. It was just the four of us.

Sounds fun. And, I'm sure it will get more exciting with kiddos. Ours was almost too exciting! We miss you guys!

I know what you mean about holidays without kids. That's why we always insisted on being around family! But, hey, it looks like you guys still had a great time.
