As If Losing a Loved One Isn't Enough

I was scheduled to have my recurrent simulator training on July 25th. I spent most of the week studying. It had been a very emotional summer already. I almost cancelled because I had so much on my plate. Also I was scheduled with a guy that is known to be a jerk. I knew that if I didn't just do it then it would hang over my head.

Basically in the space of a week's time my brother and his wife decided to divorce. My brother, Corbin, lost his job. My brother-in-law, Jared, lost his job. My other brother, Collin, had to take the bar while his wife was very sick and his daughter had to have surgery. I also had some friends going through some very difficult things. Each of these situations individually is a challenge. Put them all together in a short space of time right after you've lost a loved one and it is beyond difficult.

It is so hard to see people that you love suffer or struggle. I am grateful to have such a strong and supportive husband. Nothing that we have experienced this summer has been faith shaking. It has just been emotionally exhausting.
