Sick Grandma and Pioneer Celebration

The day of Kemy's funeral Grandma Pyper had to be taken to the hospital. She had pneumonia and was very weak. She couldn't even make it to the funeral. Aunt Pauline took her to the hospital. Grandma spent three or four days there recovering. Then she came back to Dennis's house. I spent a few days with her. When she had built up enough strength I took her to the airport to catch a flight back to Utah.

In the meantime Brandon and I were trying to get things together for our stake's 24th of July celebration. He and I had been called as our ward's activity co-chairs a few weeks before. Due to all the craziness it was nearly impossible to get much done. Luckily Brother Tulanian agreed to help with the jail (every ward set up different booths.) Also Gayle White had a few items to help decorate our hair braiding booth. It was a few days before our celebration and we still didn't have hair braiders. I guess last year the sister missionaries did it...we didn't have any sisters in our stake this time. Luckily a day or so before our celebration (we had on July 18th) a new sister in our ward volunteered her 20 year old daughter and said if I needed her she could help too. Talk about answers to prayers. I convinced a gal in my visiting teaching group to help out too. Everything turned out alright in the end.
